Stage I:
- General Awareness: Current events, Indian History, Geography, Economy, General Polity, Scientific Research, etc.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, etc.
- Mathematics: Number Systems, Decimals and Fractions, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics.
- General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences.
Stage II:
- General Awareness: Similar to Stage I but with more depth.
- Physics & Chemistry: Fundamental principles and concepts of Physics and Chemistry.
- Basics of Computers and Applications: Introduction to Computers, Hardware and Software, Input and Output devices, MS Office, Internet, Networking, etc.
- Basics of Environment and Pollution Control: Basics of Environment, Environmental Pollution, Control strategies, Air, Water and Noise Pollution, Waste Management, Global Warming, Acid Rain, Ozone depletion, etc.
- Technical Abilities: Related to the specific post applied for, including technical subjects relevant to Chemical Technology, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil Engineering, etc.
Selection Process:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Stage I

- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination
Candidates must qualify in each stage to progress to the next. Final selection will be based on the merit obtained in the CBTs.
