Educational Qualification:(ssc cgl recruitment 2024)
- Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Age Limit (As on 01 August 2024):
- Post No.1: 20 to 30 years, 18 to 30 years
- Post No.2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11: 18 to 30 years
- Post No.10: 20 to 30 years
- Post No.12: 18 to 32 years
- Post No.13 to 20: 18 to 27 years
Note: SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years and OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years.

Tier I:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
- General Awareness: Current events, India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, relationship between numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
- English Comprehension: Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc.
Tier II:
- Quantitative Abilities: Higher difficulty level than Tier I.
- English Language and Comprehension: Comprehension, Cloze test, synonyms & antonyms, active & passive voice, direct & indirect speech, idioms & phrases, etc.
- Statistics: Collection, classification, tabulation of data, Measures of central tendency, Measures of Dispersion, Moments, Skewness and Kurtosis, Correlation and Regression, Probability theory, Random variable and Probability distributions, Sampling theory, Statistical Inference, Analysis of variance, Time series analysis, Index Numbers, etc.
- General Studies (Finance and Economics): Fundamental principles and basic concept of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Basic concepts of Economics and introduction to Micro Economics, Theory of Demand and Supply, Theory of Production and cost, Forms of Market and price determination, Indian Economy, Economic Reforms in India, Money and Banking.
SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 Selection Process:
- Tier I Examination: Qualifying in nature.
- Tier II Examination: Merit ranking based on performance.
- Tier III Examination: Descriptive paper to assess writing skills.
